Who We Are
Welcome to the Cilantro Education Group, where passion meets excellence across four dynamic campuses: Cilantro Culinary & Pastry Academy (USJ 1, Subang), Oriental Culinary Academy (also in USJ 1, Subang), Zafaran International College (Seri Kembangan), and Kuching Skills College (Kuching, Sarawak). Since our founding in 2006, we have been transforming education and empowering learners to become tomorrow’s leaders.
Cilantro Culinary Academy (CCA) began as a flagship institution dedicated to culinary arts, pastry, baking, and hospitality education. Over the years, it has grown into a renowned leader in the industry, offering a wide range of specialized programs, from advanced pastry skills to the Art of Patisserie, Confectionery & Boulangerie.
Our dedication to quality education was recognized early on when, in 2011, CCA became the first vocational culinary and pastry academy in Malaysia to receive the prestigious Worldchefs Recognition of Quality Culinary Education Award. This acknowledgment speaks to our dedication to providing high-quality education that prepares students for success in the global culinary world.
But we didn’t stop there. In 2013, CCA was honored with the ELECTROLUX Culinary Institution of the Year (Regional) award, reinforcing our position as a leading institution in the culinary field. Then, in 2017, we achieved another significant milestone by being awarded the “International Centre of Excellence – Asia Pacific” by City & Guilds, further solidifying our reputation for excellence in education.
In 2014, we expanded our reach by launching the School of Language and Communication (SLC), to help our learners master the skills they need to communicate effectively in both professional and social setting. With the addition of Agensi Pekerjaan Professional Connections (APPC) in 2020, we’ve opened doors to incredible career opportunities for our graduates, ensuring they’re ready to thrive in a fast-paced world.
In 2019, we launched the Oriental Culinary Academy (OCA), bringing the vibrant and rich world of Chinese cuisine to life. This was followed by the opening of Zafaran International College (ZIC) in 2023 and the expansion to Kuching Skills College (KSC) in 2024, making our impact felt far and wide.
