Application Procedures

Thank you for your interest in Cilantro Culinary Academy! We are pleased to offer you quality education and a supportive learning environment. There are two ways to apply for admission to our academy.

Malaysian Student:

Entry Requirement

    Feel free to pay us a visit and check out the programme of your choice. You will also have a chance to speak and clarify with our counsellors personally should you have any query and get assistance to register for the programme.

    Submit it together with the following supporting
    documents:

    • One (1) CERTIFIED true copy of SPM/ UEC/
      PMR Result.
    • Two (2) Passport size Photography.
    • One (1) Identity card photocopy. (in front and
      back in 1 page)

    International Student:

    Entry Requirement

  • Entry Requirement for International Student:
    Only a student pass holder is allowed to commence the course. All international students are required
    to have a valid Student Pass and Visa while studying in Malaysia. Cilantro Culinary Academy (CCA)
    will submit student visa applications to Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) on behalf of
    international students.
    Age 16 to 35 years old.
    English language Requirement IELTS – 4.5 overall & a minimum of 4.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening)
  • Application Procedure

  • To apply, please make registration fee of MYR 3,710.00. (including Visa Application and Administration
    Fees but excluding Special Pass Fees).
  • 2x Passport size photos (35mm (width) x 45mm (height)) with WHITE background & Soft copy (JPEG
    max size 66KB).
  • One (1) full set of photocopy of your passport – all pages, including blank pages (with exit from Malaysia
    stamp if applicable). *The passport must have a validity period of at least 12 months.
  • Certified true copies of all academic qualifications.
  • Completed Pre VAL Medical Report.
  • Pre-Arrival Procedure

    Step 1: Obtain Student Visa Approval Letter

  • Upon obtaining your Student Visa Approval Letter issued by EMGS, the original Visa Approval Letter
    will be sent to you with postage reverse charge to you.
  • For students who only require a Single Entry Visa (*only applicable to selected nationalities), kindly
    bring the original Visa Approval Letter together with your passport to the nearest Malaysian
    Embassy/Consulate as you are required to obtain a single entry permit before entering Malaysia.
  • Step 2: Inform CCA of Your Scheduled Arrival

  • Liaise with your CCA counselor before purchase of air ticket.
  • Student to notify your CCA counselor about the date & time of arrival and CCA representative will pick
    you up from the airport.
  • Please make accommodation arrangements with your CCA counselor if applicable.
  • Step 3: Bring Relevant Documents
    Remember to bring along these documents before arriving:

  • Original Passport with validity of at least 12 months.
  • Original copy of Visa Approval Letter and Single Entry Visa.
  • Post-Arrival Procedure

    Step 1: Submit Arrival Card at Immigration Office

  • Upon your arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) or Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2
    (KLIA2), CCA representative will escort you through the Immigration checkout point for visa clearance.
    Important note: Immigration will not release a student without the presence of CCA representative.
  • Step 2: Medical Screening

  • Student is required to complete medical screening in Malaysia within 7 working days from the date of arrival.
  • Appointment with EMGS's approved Panel Clinic.
  • Bring along copy of passport & student visa approval letter during medical screening.
  • Clinic will submit Health Examination Report to EMGS.
  • Step 3: Student Pass Endorsement

  • Submit your original passport within 7 working days from the date of medical check-up, to your CCA
    counselor.
  • CCA representative will submit student’s passport to EMGS for Student Pass Endorsement & Sticker
    Endorsement by Immigration.
  • Once student pass has been issued, EMGS will provide student an iKAD (student identity card).
  • CCA will collect the iKAD on behalf of student.
  • Step 4: Enjoy Your Classes!
    With your new timetable, you may attend your classes and enjoy your studying adventure in Cilantro Culinary Academy!
